The Mayor’s Youth Committee (MYC) is now accepting applications from students who reside in the City of Mesa and will be juniors or seniors during the 2023-24 academic year. Participants in the annual program will work closely with local government and City of Mesa departments to explore solutions to issues directly impacting residents. Students will also gain leadership experience and work together on community service projects.

“I’m continually impressed by the commitment and caliber of students that participate in the Mayor’s Youth Committee,” said Mayor John Giles. “Each year they teach me new things and offer fresh perspectives on issues facing the City of Mesa.”

The application is available at www.mesaaz.gov/MYC and the deadline to apply is May 13, 2023. Students selected for the program will meet twice a month during the school year.
