Aldi’s Still Building at Signal Butte and Guadalupe

Despite rumors when Aldi’s sold the lot they had planned to build on at the NE corner of Signal Butte and Guadalupe, Council member Thompson has confirmed that the project is still active and will break ground in the coming weeks.

The sale closed escrow on February 24, 2021 by ALDI ARIZONA LLC.

Aldi’s considers themselves to be a disruptor in the supermarket industry and seeks to become the third largest grocer in the U.S. behind Walmart and Kroger (who operates as Fry’s in Arizona.) They are currently ranked 15th in the nation,
