Another significant player in the world of logistics and transportation is making its mark on Mesa, Arizona. DSV Air and Sea Inc., a Denmark-based global company, has recently unveiled plans to construct a sprawling 1.7 million-square-foot facility and a modern two-story, 30,000-square-foot regional corporate headquarters in the southeast region of Mesa, set to break ground this summer. On October 11, Mesa’s Planning and Zoning Board held a pivotal meeting to discuss the proposed project.
The Planning and Zoning Board’s response to DSV’s plans was unanimous, as they recommended approval for the warehouse and office project through the consent agenda, circumventing the need for further discussions before voting. The baton now passes to the Mesa City Council, who will decide the fate of the project.
If DSV’s warehouse and office proposal receives the green light, it will mark a substantial addition to Mesa’s already booming corporate landscape, which has seen expansions from tech giants such as Apple, Amazon.com, Meta Platforms Inc., and Google in recent years.
DSV envisions the construction of their impressive project on an 87-acre plot, strategically located near the intersection of Ellsworth and Pecos roads in the southeastern part of Mesa. Remarkably, this transportation and logistics conglomerate intends to complete the warehouse and office construction in a single, ambitious phase.
The decision by DSV Air and Sea Inc. to establish its corporate headquarters in Mesa is set to have a significant impact on the city’s economy and further solidify Mesa’s status as a thriving hub for international businesses.
