Families in Mesa can now register for a variety of fun and engaging sports and recreation activities this winter. The City of Mesa’s Parks and Recreation Department has officially opened registration for residents for the 2024–2025 winter season, featuring trusted, community-based programs that help kids stay active, learn new skills, and make lasting friendships.

Among the most popular youth offerings are the Suns Co-Ed Basketball League, Co-Ed Kinder Clinic, Cheer Clinic, and Playball Multi-Sport — all designed to help children grow in a supportive, team-focused setting.
Mesa Parks and Recreation also provides a variety of specialty classes, including beginner ice skating, Lim Karate, Yoga Stars, and LEGO Robotics. For teens, the Helping Youth Produce Excellence (H.Y.P.E.) program offers leadership training, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and mentoring with Mesa staff to help young people develop confidence and community spirit.
Adults have plenty of ways to join in the fun, too. Mesa’s offerings include women’s volleyball, men’s softball, Recess for Adults, and a range of tennis clinics, leagues, and camps. For those who love pickleball, Drop-In Pickleball is available for participants 18 and older.
All upcoming programs and classes can be found in the Winter PLAYBOOK Magazine, available now online.
Non-residents can begin registering on Monday, Oct. 13, at 8 a.m.
