Mesa Public Library is partnering with Arizona Game Fair for Library Game Day. This free event exposes people to the principles of playing board games and coincides with the Arizona Game Fair next door at Mesa Convention Center.
Library game day will take place on Saturday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. inside THINKspot at the Main Library, 64 E. 1st St. Event staff will have tabletop games set up, plus several interactive sessions:
- Create Your Own Board Game workshop from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. This interactive class helps participants create their very own board game.
- Miniature Figure Painting from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Learn to paint miniature figures for tabletop and role-playing games.
- Learn How to Play Role Games from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Role-playing games are not just for adults. Mesa Public Library and Arizona Game Fair are partnering to teach the elements that go into starting and playing role games for families.
Workshop participants will receive instructions, components and material to complete their projects.
