After more than three years of anticipation, Cannon Beach, the highly anticipated surf park and entertainment destination in southeast Mesa, is nearing completion and preparing to welcome the public. Developed by Cole Cannon, this 37-acre project at the southeast corner of Power and Warner roads is set to become a place of activity with unique attractions.
The project will have 500,000 square feet of retail space, restaurants, and attractions, including a surf lagoon, a 17-foot cliff-diving lagoon, LIVE Hydration Spa, Moku Hawaiian Grill, Hi5 Nails & Spa, and The Fresh Monkee.
Two hotels will also be part of the Cannon Beach experience: an Aloft Hotel by Marriott and a four-star Cannon Beach-branded hotel, designed with inspiration from the beach towns of Southern California and Hawaii.
Cole Cannon emphasized the importance of these soft opening events, which will help ensure that any final adjustments are made before the official public opening. “The goal is to work out any kinks before opening to the public,” he said.
This milestone allows the team to begin filtration, filling the pools, and testing the surf waves. Cannon Beach will soon host soft opening events throughout September, featuring pro surfers and offering an exclusive preview to tenants preparing to launch their businesses.
