Sequoia Pathfinder Academy at Eastmark opens its doors for the first time in just a few weeks!
Construction is nearly complete on the STEM focused school, which will also offer courses in art and music. Everything about the school promotes the fun of learning including the design and layout of the rooms and hallways.
Throughout the school, students will engage with materials and displays which encourage exploration. Teachers are collaborating to develop innovative lessons that integrate learning.
Rather than teach content in blocks of time, teachers will develop units that incorporate skills from all content areas. One other unique feature of the school is the Maker’s Room. In this space, students will have time to engage with a variety of materials to design, develop and create projects with their peers.
In art and music classes, in addition to skills, creativity and expression will be promoted. Students in the upper grades will be taught to play a variety of instruments.
