Construction of an extension of State Route 24 (Gateway Freeway) east of Ellsworth Road in Mesa will require Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) exit ramp closures starting Saturday, Aug. 28, to allow crews to work on overhead signs.

The east- and westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) off-ramps to eastbound SR 24 are scheduled to be closed from 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29.

  • Detour: Motorists may exit Loop 202 at Elliot Road and drive east to reach Ellsworth Road.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
