Revel Surf, the highly anticipated water park at the heart of the Cannon Beach development in southeast Mesa, is gearing up to hire as it nears its opening. The park will be hosting a job fair on Friday September 13 (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) and Saturday September 14 (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) at the Studios at Mesa City Center, located at 59 E. First St., near the intersection of Center and Main streets.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes, as Revel Surf is looking to fill more than 80 full-time and part-time positions. The available roles include lifeguards, cooks, servers, supervisors, and IT technicians.
“We are thrilled to connect with community members who want to join the Revel Surf team,” said Adam Saks, the company’s chief operating officer, in a press release. “We’re excited to open in Mesa soon and bring surfing back to Arizona.”
What is Revel Surf at Cannon Beach?
Revel Surf will offer wave-riding experiences for all ages and skill levels, making it a unique destination for surfing enthusiasts. The 2.2-acre lagoon features state-of-the-art technology, including Swell MFG’s Traveling Surf and UNIT Surf Pool’s Stationary Rapid Surf. This innovative combination allows for both right and left breaks during the same session, providing a versatile surfing experience.
Cannon Beach, under construction since 2021 at the southeast corner of Power and Warner roads, will span 37 acres and offer much more than just surfing. The complex will feature retail shops, restaurants, a 16-foot diving pool, two hotels, and various other attractions.
While a specific opening date for Revel Surf and the rest of Cannon Beach hasn’t been announced, the Phoenix Business Journal recently reported that some businesses at the complex will open in the coming weeks. The park is also expected to host soft-opening events featuring pro surfers before fully opening to the public.
