Mesa is offering more opportunities for residents to provide input to shape Tomorrow’s Mesa, providing a vision and setting future priorities as the City updates its General Plan.

The City will offer multiple opportunities for residents to shape Mesa’s future in each of the six City Council Districts. Mesa staff will have an information booth at the following locations to explain the planning process, answer questions and get feedback:

Mesa Market Place Swap Meet (District 5) on Friday, March 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 10550 E. Baseline Road

Bell Bank Park Farmers Market (District 6) on Sunday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 6321 S. Ellsworth Drive

Farmers Market at Mesa Arts Center (District 4) on Saturday, March 25 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Custard with Councilmember Freeman (District 1) on Wednesday, March 29 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Andy’s Frozen Custard, 1353 E. McKellips Road. District 1 Councilmember Mark Freeman will join the planning team to talk about the General Plan and answer your questions

Jefferson Recreation Center Carnival (District 2) on Friday, March 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 120 S. Jefferson Ave.

Dobson Ranch Annual Meeting and Car Show (District 3) on Tuesday, April 11 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at La Casita Recreation Center, 2719 S. Reyes
In addition to the General Plan, Mesa is updating its Transportation, Transit, Water and Balanced Housing Master Plans. For more information, visit Tomorrow’sMesa.com.

Every ten years, Mesa updates its General Plan, as mandated by the State of Arizona. Extensive public engagement is planned by the City throughout 2023. Mesa City Council must adopt the updated General Plan by June 2024 and place the issue on the ballot for voters to ratify in November 2024.
