Flights from Mesa to Burbank will be available on a new airline starting at $19

Avelo Airlines, a new airline formed from Xtra Airways, will be doing daily flights from Gateway Airport to Hollywood Burbank Airport starting May 3rd 2021.  

One-way fares are currently on sale starting at $19. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be used for daily operations. Avelo Airlines is headed by CEO Andrew Levy, formerly CFO for United Continental and former CFO, President, and COO of Allegiant Air.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority CEO, J. Brian O’Neill  stated, “Today’s new nonstop service announcement by Avelo Airlines is exciting news for both greater Phoenix and Los Angeles area air travelers, his new service provides high quality, ultra-low-fare connectivity between two major markets in the west. I am confident that Avelo will be very successful at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.” 

Several options are also available for travelers to pay for their items such as first checked bag for $10, priority seating for $10, and seating arrangements starting at $5.
