There’s a new spot in the East Valley to kill a little time with kids this summer. Eastmark, a new community near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, has opened a splash pad at its 100-acre Eastmark Great Park.
The splash pad is free and open to the public from sunrise to 10 p.m. daily. It features a dozen sprays that shoot water several feet into the air. The area, lined with palm trees, includes Adirondack chairs and large umbrellas to keep parents comfortable and cool. At night, the pad lights up in an array of colors.
Eastmark is at Ray and Ellsworth roads in Mesa. For information, contact City of Mesa Parks and Recreation, which operates the splash pad, at (480) 644-2352.
