The Cannon Beach development in southeast Mesa is rapidly evolving into one of the East Valley’s most exciting new destinations — blending entertainment, dining, retail, and hospitality into a dynamic “live, work, play” environment.

Recently, developers and community leaders officially celebrated the opening of KTR Cannon Beach, a major experiential anchor that brings high-energy, family-friendly fun to the project. That ribbon cutting marked an important milestone in realizing the vision for this mixed-use hub.

At the heart of the destination is REVEL SURF — a first-of-its-kind surf park in Arizona featuring both a travel wave and a stationary rapid surf lagoon, alongside skate elements, water features, and food and beverage options. It has quickly become a standout attraction and one of the main reasons visitors — and locals — are flocking to Cannon Beach.
Hospitality Expansion: Tapestry by Hilton
In addition to entertainment and retail, Cannon Beach continues growing its hospitality footprint. Plans have been submitted for an upscale Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel with around 150 rooms, including a rooftop restaurant and bar that will offer panoramic views of Revel Surf and the surrounding area.

This Hilton-branded property is part of a broader leasing success at Cannon Beach, where developers report that a large portion of the 500,000+ sq ft of commercial space is already leased, including restaurants and experiential venues. The new hotel will further help position Cannon Beach as both a day-trip destination and a longer-stay hospitality hub for visitors to the region.
A Destination Taking Shape
From high-energy indoor attractions to beach-style outdoor amenities, Cannon Beach is drawing tenants and attention alike. Its directory now lists a variety of eateries, activity venues, and future retailers — all designed to offer a cohesive, energetic atmosphere for residents and visitors.
With continued investment and planned additions, Cannon Beach isn’t just a place to visit — it’s becoming a signature entertainment and lifestyle destination in Mesa’s District 6, with development momentum that shows little sign of slowing.
