Elliot District Park’s facility to reopen under the name Cactus Yards February 9, 2019. The Gilbert Town Council voted unanimously to approve the rebranding and other actions at the most recent meeting held on Oct. 18th.

Once ran by Big League Dreams USA, now The Town of Gilbert will run the facility as a public park and will compete to host private tournaments.

An agreement with the Arizona Diamondbacks has been met to refurbish the scoreboard at the field. The new scoreboard will be a replica of Chase Field’s.

The Town Council approved two partners, Craft Culinary Concepts who will launch two new restaurants in early February 2019 and Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation for the renovation of the scoreboard.

Craft Culinary creates a unique, handcrafted approach to food. The new sports grill featuring grilled burgers, sandwiches, wings, nachos, handmade pizza, BBQ sandwiches, platters, and salad will also feature The Tamale Store and handcrafted pretzels by Ben’s soft pretzels.  Watch for the full menu to be posted in November 2018. Enjoy your favorite beers on tap, local craft beers, wine and margaritas in the bar.

Both restaurants will be renovated with new flooring, furniture and a state-of-the art entertainment system and game room. The facility will offer eight ball fields, two restaurants, an indoor soccer facility, batting cages and a playground. The Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department has already started booking tournaments and league registration will begin in December.
