See Usery Park in a whole new light with these ranger led activities in August. Park rangers have organized some truly unique activities for summer nights. Don’t forget to come prepared with closed-toe shoes, flashlight and water.
Movie Night in the Park: “The Living Desert” – Come see this real life Disney movie on the big screen inside the park’s air conditioned Nature Center. (8/12 @ 7 pm)
Scorpion Hunt – Sharpen your scorpion spotting skills on this fun and safe 1 mile night walk. Bring your own blacklight or purchase one at the park. (8/15 @ 8 pm)
Animal Flashlight Walk – Catch a glimpse of nocturnal desert critters on this 1 mile night walk. Trail can accommodate wheel chairs and strollers. (8/21 @ 7:30 pm)
Full Moon Hike – There’s no better way to experience the sights and sounds of the desert than beneath the glow of the August Full Red Moon on this 2 mile hike. (8/29 @ 7:30 pm)
