The Mesa City Council is likely to approve a new $1B Google data center in the Elliot Road Tech Corridor.
Google has yet to purchase the land, which is 186 acres at Elliot and Sossaman, but with approved tax incentives, it is likely to proceed.
Mayor Giles noted that with Google building at Sossaman and Elliot, the Elliot Road Tech Corridor will be bookended with Apple and Google. “There’s no city that would not be envious of that,” he said.
The land would be sold by the Morrison family, who has been selling off portions of their farmland for some time for various developments including the Morrison Ranch subdivisions in Gilbert and Mesa.
