The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board is considering a proposal by the Pacific Rim Group to develop a 6.8 acre, 90 unit townhouse community called Zen on the former western restaurant on the north side of Baseline west of Power Road.

Rockin’ R Ranch was a well-known staple of the community and frequent field trip for local students. Its cowboy theme and biscuits drew in many until its closure in December 2018 after 35 years of business.

Zen is a townhouse community. The homes would include 90 2 and 3 bedroom units in a mix of 17 buildings.
