Remember when you received your first bike? Many of the kids in foster care have never had their own bike. With Recycle Your Bicycle, we can give them the joy of having their own bike. For many kids a bike is not just for fun, but also a way to get to school or work.

On Saturday May 16 from 10am to 2pm volunteers for the Arizona Associate for Foster and Adoptive Parents will be collecting new and used bicycles at The Vue restaurant at the Augusta Ranch Golf Club located at 2401 S Lansing in Mesa.

From trikes to mountain bikes – volunteers will clean them up and have them looking good as new for deserving foster children.

Volunteers will also be accepting new bikes as well as donations to go towards refurbishing supplies like new tubes and tires, bike seats and cleaning supplies. You can make a donation online at azafap.org.

The only thing these volunteers can’t fix is rust, but if the bike can be washed and cleaned or needs something new, they can take care of it!

AZAFAP is a non-profit organization and can provide you with a receipt for your donation. You can get more information at recycleyourbicycleaz.com

For more information or if pickup on the day of the event is necessary, call 602-218-7303
