Southeast Mesa has seen rapid population and traffic growth over the past decade. These upgrades will improve travel reliability for commuters, enhance roadway safety, and support local economic activity. By planning decades ahead, Prop 479 ensures arterial and freeway infrastructure keeps pace with growth while reducing congestion in key corridors like Power Road, Warner Road, and the U.S. 60.

MAG officials explain that this phased approach allows for long-term project planning while maintaining existing infrastructure and meeting the county’s projected transportation demand.

Stay Informed and Plan Ahead

For residents and businesses in Southeast Mesa, knowing the schedule is key. Prop 479 provides visibility into when projects will start and which corridors will see improvements first. By reviewing the schedule on azmag.gov/Prop479, Mesa residents can track upcoming work and anticipate impacts on travel and local development.

Bottom Line

Proposition 479 represents a critical investment in Southeast Mesa’s transportation future. From arterial upgrades to freeway improvements, the plan addresses congestion, safety, and connectivity while preparing for decades of growth.
