The Mesa City Council is set to review two significant cases that could lead to the annexation of over 150 acres of land, paving the way for the development of a large-scale technology campus and data center.

Pacific Proving LLC, a prominent landowner in Mesa, has officially submitted a request through the law firm Gammage & Burnham PLC for public hearings. The goal is to incorporate two parcels of land currently in Maricopa County into the city of Mesa. The proposed development, known as the Pacific Proving Technology Campus, is set to occupy the northeast corner of Crismon and Pecos roads.

The proposed sites encompass 42 acres and 130 acres, respectively. These parcels are strategically located east of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and south of State Route 24, positioning them as prime real estate for technological and employment growth.

The City Council will hold public hearings on the proposed annexations during its upcoming meeting on July 1. If approved, this development could significantly boost Mesa’s economic landscape by attracting tech companies and creating numerous job opportunities.

Residents and interested parties are encouraged to participate in the public hearings or share their opinions with the council members.
