Are you trick-or-treating in 85212 or 85209? Trick-or-treating in Southeast Mesa can be a very safe and enjoyable experience.

Here are some Halloween Safety Tips, Courtesy of  Mesa Police Department:

1. Do not enter a stranger’s home for candy.
2. Avoid unlit homes.
3. Do not eat any candy until it is inspected by an adult.
4. Avoid unwrapped, homemade, treats.
5. Trick or Treat in groups of two or more with an adult present.
6. Discuss safe routes with parents.
7. Avoid open flame decorations.
8. Avoid loose, flowing costumes.
9. Wear reflective clothing and carry flashlights.
10. Drivers be cautious of pedestrians in neighborhoods.
